<The Chamber>
Concept
The Chamber is about the plight of people in the information age of the near future. The carefully designed social media algorithms constantly feed similar content of interest to users to maximize the user's dwell time, in effect creating an "echo chamber" that is difficult to escape from. People can only see information similar to their own views in this mechanism, so biased views are constantly reinforced and intensified and eventually accepted as the truth. Under the firm control of the algorithm, social conflicts are constantly intensified, and although people sit around the square table for meetings, they are trapped in their own echo chamber, unable to form effective communication.
The movie chooses four typical social characters, all trapped in their echo chambers, while mumbling phrases that correspond to keywords and related terms in the social media algorithm. The lines of the movie are dubbed by AI, representing the inescapable control that machines and algorithms have over people.
By the end of the video, we are told that this story exists not only in the four typical social characters but also in every device, in every person.
